IADs 2500-HP Twin-Turbo Land Shark

American supercar builder Mosler and its MT900S model put up a pretty good fight in the world’s fastest car category. The supercar hits 60 mph from a standstill in less than 3.5 seconds, has a top speed of well over 180 mph and runs the quarter mile in 12 seconds. But that’s not good enough for some builders, like Intense Automotive Design, who looked to completely smash the specialty car’s performance numbers.

Angel Oak Fairytale Tree

Angel Oak is one of the oldest organisms east of the Mississippi, believed to be over 1,500 years-old.

Before you start with the “It’s photoshoped” comments, check Wikipedia and you’ll see it’s very real. Angel Oak is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Charlestone, South Carolina. It has a height of 20 meters, measures 2.7 meters in diameter and it’s crown shades an area of 1,600 square meters. It’s longest limb stretches out 27 meters.

Its name comes from the Angel estate, but local legends say ghosts of former slaves sometimes appear around the tree, as angels.

Angel Oak has survived countless earthquakes and floods, as well as human interference. It was damaged by Hurricane Hugo, in 1989, but has since then recovered.

Lego Dispatch Work-in Berlin

Jan Vormann did his Dispatchwork again, this time, he fills up mostly holes that remained from the World War II in Berlin with Lego bricks. He did it before in Bocchignano, Italy, a village close to Rome.

At some very touristic hot-spots, (Kupfergraben corner with Dorotheenstraße) a whole lot of people of all ages spontaneously started "helping" him with the dispach work project and plastic construction pieces in all colors, between old stones, gave an interesting new twist in Berlin.

Some Kids, Parents and Grandparents took the project "to another dimension" with a variation of approaches towards the possibilities of constructing with those little bricks.

The Retirement of Billy the Goat

Having a goat as a member of the Royal Army might seem funny to most people, but it has been a British tradition for more than 200 years.

Lance Corporal William Windsor has served in the army for the last eight years, traveling overseas, meeting royalty and leading military parades. His comrades from the 1st Battalion of the Royal Welsh said goodbye to their loyal colleague as he walked by to the trailer that took him to the zoo, where he will spend his retirement.

Billy the Goat is a Kashmir goat and was offered as a gift to the Royal Army, by the Queen herself. Billy’s replacement will be announced in June, when another kid goat will be picked from a heard in Great Orme, North Wales.

As one of the most influential American authors of all time, Mark Twain wrote about slavery and other controversial topics. However, he was never short on providing humor and insight in tandem, passing down to future generations a wealth of quips and witty one-liners in addition to his breadth of literary work. Giant Coconut Crab

Coconut Crab (Birgus latro) is the largest terrestrial arthropod in the world. It is known for its ability to crack coconuts with its strong pincers in order to eat the contents.

It is sometimes called the robber crab because some coconut crabs are rumored to steal shiny items such as pots and silverware from houses and tents.

The coconut crab is a large edible land crab related to the hermit crab, and are found in the tropical Indian and Pacific Oceans. They eat coconuts for a living! How would you like to be on an island and come across a crab that is more than 3 feet from head to tail and weighs up to 40 pounds, with a pair of large pincers strong enough to open coconuts! They can climb trees too, but they only eat coconuts that have already fallen to the ground. Coconut crab meat has been considered a local delicacy.
